I am running for County Council to bring accountability, responsibility, and transparency back to our county government. I’m deeply committed to the belief that the people of Delaware County deserve good and honest legislative management. I also understand the need to insure that our County is safe, clean and a viable place to raise families, have jobs, and own homes.
I am an accomplished leader ready to fight to end the one party patronage machine that has eroded public confidence in our county government as well as in many of our county municipal administrations. I am well aware that this pay to play addiction for political bosses will be hard to stop because of the current political landscape and political power-hold. However, I will demand that best business practices and fiscal responsibility be the standard for the transaction of all county government business.
There are many serious challenges ahead for all
of us that call Delaware County home. Issues
such as health care preparedness since Delaware
County is the largest county in Pennsylvania
(and the largest county in United States)
without a county health department, open space
concerns, jobs and employment, the need for
economic development and investment, community
revitalization, and the FAA flight redesign are
just some that must be addressed immediately.
Electing a Democrat as a duty bound public
official to County Council finally provides for
a two party system - and a means for a checks
and balance that is long overdue in our County.
County Council has lacked the strong leadership
to fight for changes so necessary in our County.
I’m not part of a “political farm team” and I
will work tirelessly as an advocate for all
citizens of Delaware County.
